I was thinking the same thing, what are you replacing? $300 will buy you a set of springs.

Well when you only paid $1500 for the whole car. :D I did front strut inserts, rear shocks, front & rear mounts, various other little bits & pieces, and rear sway bar links. Other bushings/links have been replaced within the last couple of years. Still need to do the front lower arms, trailing arm bushings, and subframe bushings at some point in the future.

I bought my 87 Is car with 92k on it. it now has 317k stock engine. However my tranny did die. Due to autox and leaky seals.

i'm around 360k give or take a few. original motor, m42, replaced trans and diff due to fuck ton of abuse on it.

car gets whatever oil i have in my hand, i mix grades, brands, synthetic with non and have been for 3 years.. hahahaha

my old lab manager has a '91 325i which had over 600k on the clock 3 years ago, he is still driving it. will snag some pics next time i see him.
