    sometimes i dont understand ebay?

whats the point in bidding on something where the reserve is way higher then the value of the car? i always thought auctions were a place for people to possibly get a "deal". why not just make the starting bid price the reserve??

Because it attracts more people to the auction. People get all excited that they are getting and amazing deal, then as the price goes up, they keep bidding into a frenzy.

I don't think that's a real hard concept to grasp. You must be friends with Benzspeed. :)

Good. Need to clear the garage out of boxes so I can park.

And I'm behind on work - but loving it here. The weather is amazing. And it doesn't rain as much as people tell you that it does...it's kinda comical.

I might be coming up on Monday to relax for a week before school starts down south. I have family in Redmond and Kirkland. A few years ago, we went to Bill Gates' house on the Washington River and we almost rang the doorbell. But we were little 14 year old kids and we had better things to do.

Because a lower starting price such as .99 cents attracts more potential watchers or buyers. People tend to avoid items priced high from the start.
