    Very Low Profile Jack

So, I'd like a jack that I can slide under my car without having to drive up on blocks of wood or use the BMW factory jack to lift it a little bit to get the jack under there. My "low profile jack" is 3.5" tall when all the way down. I need something around 2.5" The lowest, best one I found is 2.25" and its a 2 Ton, but its 400$. Anyone know any cheaper jacks that are well made/very low?

    What are you guys using?

I have a Harbor Freight special low profile jack lol. It has worked well for me and I'm lowered on Ground Control...

Well it is expensive but I heart my omega magic lift. Next time around though I'm buying a ac hydraulics. I have the harbor freight thing too and there is no comparison to the beefy omega. Here's my previous discussion of the omega:

I also have the harbor freight special. It clears the front subframe but not my 24 valve pan so I need to be careful how I orient the jack when lowering the car back down.

Another Harbor Freight special here. Love it, especially for the price.

Why not just build a couple of short ramps out of a couple of 2x6's? Cheap, and then you don't need to buy a new jack.

Something like this, just don't go 4 high, you could easily do 2 high, and have plenty of room to get your jack underneath:

Harbor Freight steel jack. They sell a bunch of Low profile jacks but make sure you get the one with the lowest height. I got the steel version over the aluminum one because it was lower by 3/4". Cost was $100 but it's worth it. Works very well to get lowered cars lifted high in a hurry. Weighs a lot compared to the aluminum one but I just use it around the garage anyway. It's not a big deal.

harbor freight generel. That thing fit under my slammed vrsex mk3. Also 2x4s come in handy. I have to put all 4 cornors on them to get on the lift its really annoying.
