I hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
I'd chatted briefly with Levent about the GPS 3.0 motor, but I don't know what exactly it will end up being.
I ended up going 24V for a couple of reasons. Sadly, fuel economy (boring-ass reason) was one of the considerations. I drive a LOT for my job, so it's important. I also always love the character of the M50 in my old E35 325is. In the end, I just found a killer deal on an M50, and that was the deal-breaker.
BUT, I imagine the torque on the 3.0 would be pretty effing awesome. Then, if you built it for boost... Oh. My. G-d!

Doing all the work for an x50 isn't really worth it. If you were to swap go for M52 or S52. I have seen a few M52s with a tune and M50 manifold make similar or more power than an S50.
3.0L M20's make as much power as an M50... probably not as much as an S50 though. It'll also be a direct swap, and unless they want like $5k for the motor it'll probably be cheaper than an 24v swap.
