Recaro - Good price? - link provided

I'm debating whether I should get Recaro interior out of 80's Jetta GLI.

The set comes with front and back seats, 4 door cards and the red stripe dash.

I want to replace my comfort seats in the 91 318i sedan with these Trophies at the front and also, hopefully, in the back.....

The door cards and the dash i want to just re-sell.

    - Can the rear seat be fit with some minor fabrications?
    - How much can the VW jetta GLI dash and the door cards wotrh?

here is the link to the seller's ad:

There are 2 seats, i confirmed with the seller. The other seat is in the other photo.

        - anyone knows rough price for the VW dash and the door cards?

dude 300 bucks for a complete recaro interior? Don't wait one more second. Snatch those bad boys up. Heck if it was local I'd be all over there right now instead of writing on here.

Hell yeah! Looking for all this stuff for my rabbit for a few months hasn't turned up a deal this good. I'd move on it.

            I miss the old BMW

They look a little funny to me.

Get a pic of the bottom of the seat to see if the rail un bolts from it or not.
There is a bastard seat that does not have removable rails, they are useless to you and only fit VWs with the single center rail.

This is exactly what I asked the seller to do. I read the 19page Recaro thread and it looks like these are the "odd ball" recaros with the VW bottom coution with solid not removable rails.

if they are the removable rail type, check on VW Vortex to get an idea what the dash and door panels go for.

Damn, the sliders are not removable.

Will it be possible to install these into e30 or not?

                      How involving would that be?

I have only until end of the day today to decide.....shit.

get a 7/8 drill bit that is 8-10" long. Drill THROUGH the seat and use a washer to hold down the top. Then drill through your floor and use fat washers on the bottom side to keep from ripping the cars body.

Thats a pretty standard price to be honest, i see them go anywhere from 200-350 on a weekly basis here in the bay.

                          Example:

Anything beyond the fronts are going to be useless except for resale and most people dont need to replace those anyway. Fronts take all the wear/tear.

The guy agreed to deliver his goods to me and wanted 260.00 for everything this Friday (today)...after learning the seats have fixed sliders, I offered him back 200.00...as I'm taking the risk not knowing what needed to mount these Recaros inot e30....has not come back to me abount my offer yet...I think I lost this deal...

Update: he did not want to let it go for 200.00
