I, too, cracked my oil pan

    Sick morning.

Haven't hit anything in the past few days so maybe it started smaller and just opened up today?

        WOOO! Finally fixed my dd!
New pan from Bavauto - $220
Pan pulled from PnP - $25! (EFF Bavarian, took that bitch back. With that difference i can buy my skid plate)
        2 Oil pan gaskets(broke the first one) - $20
        Oil - $20
        Oil filter - $5
Several hours of frustration on my back in my drive way with my Chilton's book.
        Working e30 - pricelessssss

        For good measure:

Go with an ejnight plate. I love mine, it even clears my fumoto valve with the extension!

I don't know how low you are but im on GC's and it's only a couple inches off the ground. There's only one spot in town that I regularly scrape and I've been trying to get better at driving with it that low...

Fumoto valve, I only have it because my pan was stripped and I didn't want to replace the pan haha...

Haha because its so much more of a bitch to replace than its made out to be^.
But yeah, ejnight is going to be receiving my moneys soon.

And thanks, Kershaw. I'm proud of myself.

i see now, m20 oil pan sit higher than m42. no wonder i crack 2 m42 oil pan with ejknight skid plate. Bad motor mount also play a big role on this issue.

So either you don't DD your e30 or don't live and work somewhere with horrible roads/massive speed bumps?
                            Or both?
