    Given the decision...

635csi or an e30 vert with an m30b35 and a hardtop? Mind you I'm going to be selfish and take out the rear seats, rollcages are more fun than backseat drivers when on twisty roads. I can't decide what to do so I guess my other questions are as follows. Will a 6'4" person fit comfortably in the vert with a hardtop fixed on it? Is an e24 much more roomy up front than an e30?

I'm afraid of the 6er being a boat compared to the vert but since both would weigh about the same and have the same engine it should all come down to suspension. Does the 6er have as much aftermarket support suspension wise? Is it much more expensive than e30 suspension to upgrade?

if you look for a sixer try to find a slicktop;)

Imho I'd take the e24 but that's just because I love the looks of the thing.

I don't understand the point of a m30 swapped vert with a hard top and roll cage, just buy a coupe, that would handle like shit.

The roof line looks nicer in my opinion. Also I'd enjoy the ability to remove the roof, and m30s don't weigh much more than the 24v swaps. If I do go with the vert I'm going to remove the cloth top completely, iz racecar.

Thought about doing that to mine but then my garage space got all taken up with my sister's shit 'cause she's moving.

I want to use the top storage partition to smuggle booze into state/county/city sponsored events. ;)

                    i've owned both.

6ers are great for long slow cruises, loved the M30 torque, plush and floated like a Best Western mattress along the highway.

sorta lost it's "oumph" for spirited driving, is it is a heavy car.

that said, I now have a e30 vert.
I'm tossing the m20b25 and going with 8 sparkplugs over the winter.

nothing is a better feeling than a e30 with no roof...plus it's allready got the M30??

                    do it up.

                    no contest.

Lol that would make a cool secret compartment. Well, Mr Burns sealed the deal vert it is. And yes, I'm one of those, removed the ac in a black coupe with vinyl seats during the summer, removed the trunk tar, called it even weight reduction hahaha.

e24s are so much bigger than e30s its not funny. if you're 6'4'', i'd definitely look at the e24s.

i know someone selling one. its a euro m6. m88 motor. buffalo interior. dinan chip and exhaust. it's pretty damn sexy. i think he's asking $10k? im not sure. 340whp. it's no slouch.

Cool cool, that car sounds awesome but it's out of my price range.

I've got 2" extra travel in my driver seat in my e30 right now using two plates between the car and the slide rails, and I'm rocking a momo wheel (dunno if the hub adapter changes the wheel to driver distance). I still need to tweak things to be comfy though. Right now either my arms are too far from the wheel or my legs are too close to the pedals, it makes long drives annoying. I think if I swap the steering hub for a longer one or make a spacer for it I should be good. Are there different length momo hubs or spacers out there? I can spin a spacer up on the lathe if I need to but I'm open to a more factory looking alternative. Maybe I can find a longer sheathe for another momo wheel and use it to cover my spacer and keep the factory look?

As long as my head doesn't hit the hardtop I think I'm going the e30 route.

                              BAH! I'm 6'2" and 235lbs.

my vert has the sport seats, in which you can adjust the height, infact I don't even have my seat pulled all the way back on the rails as when it is it's too much of a stretch.

when the seat is "sunken" you're golden.
