Pull your interior out and pressure wash it with some nice fabric cleaner. Carpet too. You may have some mold growing under it.

My thoughts exactly. It def leaks so it's getting a good old gutting in the next few weeks....if it stays cool enough to ward off the mosquitoes. :roll:

In my old jeep it had a real funky smell, especially when it was raining or humid. Pulled the carpet to fix some rust and found some mold growing. Power washed the crap out of it and never had the smell again. I may actually do my E30 soon just to make sure I don't have any leaks and really clean the carpet anyways.

put some sliced apple on the dash when you leave the car.. or used coffee grounds, or even some green tea leaves. they will absorb the smell in your car.

I bought an ozone generator and circulated the HVAC for an hour with the carpet out and the ozone generator going. Definitely killed the odors, but the car smelled like ozone for 3 months, and that's nasty.

Lol....it was rusty, and a guy offered me cash money for it. I sold it, and used the money to help pay for my M3.

Currently the car is stripped, getting a Mazda rotary engine swap to be turned into a drift machine.

Like I said, the car was rusty. I'm holding out for another, rust free, vert to come along, or a sedan shell, for my M60.

if i ever get my ls1 swap going (been kicking it around for a few years) with my rx8, i will buy a rwd e30 and swap my renesis into it. with a header, free flowing exhaust, and a tune you can get 240hp (supposedly stock, roflrofl) out of an n/a renesis. that would be a lot of fun in an e30. they dont weigh anything and they sit sooo far back.

if you ever finish it, please let me know. i'd love to see it. :up:

I'm not the one doing it. I told my friend who bought the car to document it and throw it up on here, but haven't heard much out of him. I got a pic message a few weeks back of the shell, totally stripped, so he's working on it. Getting caged and whatnot. I'll ask him if he's got any pics when I see him.
