    Seat Grease

    Hi guys,

I want to re-lubricate my seat rails. Can someone direct me to a good grease product, preferably something that is close to OE?

    Thanks,
    JP

WD40 is a penetrating (giggity) oil. It will just soak into the metal, and provide no lubrication (giggity).

I use the Spray White Lithium grease. It builds up a layer that remains and continues to lubricate the seat tracks/rails. You can also use Valvoline Bearing Grease that comes in the cylindrical can. It also leaves behind that colored petroleum grease and provides lubrication.

Ya I often set the cruise and my passenger helps with the seat lube. I just get mad when it get on the leather.

I use white lithium. You can either buy the spray-on stuff or the stuff in the tube. They both work well, but I prefer the tube stuff since I can be more precise as to where it goes.

my vote is for white lithium grease as well, has so many uses from seats rails for the e30 to trumpet and trombone tuning slides.

Another vote for white lithium grease, I've done seats and sunroofs alike and always worked for me.
