Thanks, after importers started importing cars from the states because of the euro boom in europe, the american size plate was a must here in lebanon.
As for the engine, i went with the m30 because of the limited time i have here for vacations. I consider the mission very succesful. Yesterday i bought the car, today the m20 was ouy and tomorrow the m30 will go in. Hopefuly start it by tomorrow night or thursday. The euro s50 will involve more work, and my dream engine is the s38 so probably when i come next year well do anotyer swap.
P.S: yesterday i saw an e21 with a s38 stuffed in it, pretty impresive but i couldnt take pics :(Leave a comment:

I love the color! reminds of my old lazurblau. I also didn't expect to see a u.s. plate filler in lebanon lol.
And out of curiosity, why did you go for an m30 instead of a euro s50?Leave a comment:

And the work started...

All hoses, wiring disconnected

You should look into costs of shipping a 20FT container to the US. I am sure you can make enough for your time and effort.Leave a comment:

How About an m5 as a spare? My friend bought this e39 m5 almost complete with interior and every part that is intact for $6500

E30 i bought for $6500 for the hartge m30 i bought earlier.
Its an 89 atlantisblau, with azef A's, 4.10 lsd, tech I heck spoiler, original hartge steering wheel(taking to PR with me), Gray/ Blue interior, rear deck with curtain. It has some dings and scratches, the car had been reaprayed at some point and needa polish.
Better pics after swap and detail.
