    How to?

I just got a new steering wheel. How do I take the old one out and install the new one?

Air bag or no air bag? If you don't have an air bag wheel, just pop the bmw logo using a small flat head screw driver(carefully) them use a 19 or a 22mm(can't remember which one) to unscrew the wheel keep the keys out
of the ingnition to do so (the wheel will be locked) then unlock the wheel
using the keys. Then just take it off. If it has never been swapped it may
take a little persuasion to come off. But be careful not to rip out the horn
wire when you pull off the wheel.

        Air bag steering wheel:

Disconnect the battery and wait 5 min
Then there are two torx on the backside of the wheel (don't remember the size).
Take those off and the airbag should pop off.
Disconnect the airbag and unbolt the wheel itself (22 mm socket).
Turn the key to disengage the wheel lock and pop it off

        Non-airbag:

Pop the center roundel emblem off
Unbolt the wheel itself (22 mm socket).
Turn the key to disengage the wheel lock and pop it off

Do I have to do anything with the horn or anything?

Make sure you have your wheel straight before you take it off so when you put the new on in the same position, or just mark the splines or something.

Atleast with a non air bag, you shouldn't have to, just make sure nothing is getting cought as you take it off. There weren't any wires on mine, just a pressure type connection for the horn.
