ODO was still working as of 317K on my old e30 when I sent it to the junkyard, new one is at 160K and hopefully keeps ticking
my sisters e30 had 130K when the damn ODO quit1991 318is --- currently not road worthy

I think BMW forgot to take heat into consideration when they designed those "ear-wax" quality gears.. the Florida heat just melts the shit out of them.
The again, nice weather all year round vs. working odometer gears... take your pick.Comment
