    Scotch-Brite? Do you use it?

Wondering how many people use scotch-brite on their e30 or related projects. If so what do you use it for?

Anyone ever use the commercial stuff? The stuff other then the green pads?

Mirka fine and ultra fine. Use it mostly for work but have used it to give a few of the aluminum parts a satin finish.

I use it for gasket fitments on the exhaust flanges. Gets the minor inperfections out. Also use it for changing the colour of die cast models, works a treat with paint stripper and then I paint the model with my actual car paint, just because I'm bored on a sunday LOL!

i use the green pads for taking off corrosion. Particularly good on the aluminum hose connections of the cooling system.

I like silicon carbide sanding mesh for breaking the glaze on rotors. They are normally labeled for drywall use, but they'll sand right through glass, iron whatever.
