            if the engine has head problems, it is not worth near the asking price. i would say 6-700.00 for one that gives bad head.

                I have sold quite a few S52's in my day and recently they are only fetching 1200-1800 with 100-150K repectively. These are out of running/driving parts cars and engines are known good. I would stay away and find yourself a good one for similar price

                    I can get M50s all day long for $200, but without any sort of guarantee that they work past what i can learn by observation.

                    That said, I wouldn't pay that for a motor that needs re-surfaced.
