Did anyone used BMW OBDII Round Adapter?

I have 1988 325is and stop test is not working. I thought its because of TPS but its not TPS I tested.
Anyway did any one used BMW OBDII round adapter? Does it works? Instead of buying $100 Peake code reader I want to buy $20 adapter if its works with autozone ODBII.

    Here is the pic

yes, that connector will work. Euro model E30s have no check engine light, so a stomp test will not work. We read out the codes through a tester and that adapter.

I have no idea what an autozone OBD II is, but an OBD II tester will work on an E30 with that adapter. Up until 2002 you need that adapter for all euro BMW cars

Maybe this will help. Autozone reader/analyzer doesn't have ability to read info from BMW adapter. I have asked already, its for Euro cars only.

I dont think the OBD 2 software will talk to your car, even with the adapter cable. You need an old Modic/Gt1 or a launch, I think.

This is correct... add to the list a Baum VS scanner, as well. There are probably a few more.
