What's a good price for an i model in decent shape?

Hello, I'm the new guy to the e30 world.

I'm looking to get myself into an i model E30 for a low price. This will be a full out track/race/autoX/Drift car for me, so inteior quality is not a big issue.

My question is: What kind of price would a 2 door i model like that go for?

you can expect to pay anywhere from $2,000 to $4,500 for a nice "i". a little less with messed up interior. It depends on condition, and location.
