I used to use a stomp pad, then I started wedging my foot against the binding. It works better.

You're awesome.
Again, I have one for scraping the snow out of my boots. Any dipshit can figure out how to wedge their foot against their binding for skating around, and if they can't, they shouldn't be on a snowboard.
Oh, and I still use a leash. :finger:Comment

Mine just attaches to the main structure of my bindings on the side, and then clips to a steel ring that's zip-tied to one of the eyelets of my boots.Comment

The only time I've ever seen a board let go was when someone was riding it like a sled. In such a situation people usually don't have their leash on. This is after boarding for hundreds of days. I seriously have never seen a runaway board for any other reason. How many boards have you ever seen get loose really?
Moving along...AWESOME THREAD! 1st of all an E30 stomp pad has to fucking happen, I'm gonna brainstorm a bit.
2nd thing, modding snowboards....totally hadn't thought of that. I wonder if they flex enough to crack paint...I think that added to the freezing temps means paint will inevitably crack but I def wanna do a nice high gloss paint job on one of my boards. Which one though....Hrmm... Maybe i'll bondo the shitty chunked up square edges on my santacruz and do that one. Although I kinda like it cuz it has real wood showing through....decisions decisions.Comment

it should be nice when done. its sitting in the corner of my room waiting for the stickers. its just black single stage right now. wet sanded with 600 then a scuff pad. i think the clear should hold up fairly well. i've taken bumpers off of cars at work during winter and they flex and they don't crack. i can also sand a buff every year. i'll def get some pics up just waiting on the stickers. got some from stickyshirts.com and one from a random person on ebay.Last edited by richardkeith97; 10-14-2011, 02:54 PM.Comment

A friend of mine used to work at a bodyshop. He did paint his board. You have to use alot flex and even then it doesn't last. After the first day it was ruined. It pretty much just rubbed and scrappe off. It seemed pretty nice before we got on the mountain though.Originally posted by SonnyI am a meme for our community.Comment

I think people don't get that snowboards aren't painted. The graphics are screenprinted on the deck, and then they are covered in by a clear top sheet, or several heavy coats of clear lacquer. In some instances, they are actually fused into the material of the clear top sheet. No amount of flex agent will stop a painted snowboard from lasting even a whole day.Comment

I could totally get some e30 stomp pads made. Only problem is lead time. Maybe for next season. Can I have permission to make r3v stomp pads?Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Exactly. It just won't hold up. Vinyl wrap would work better but it still won't last to long before damage.I think people don't get that snowboards aren't painted.
