Wow. Never thought someone would just take a car and total it.

for some reason i feel that most bmw dealerships would act in a similar way if something like that happened, thats a pretty big loss on their part.

That is by far the worst story in terms of dealer carelessness. Ever. And the first picture totally blew my mind. It takes skill to fuck up a car that bad.

At least he's enjoying his new Porsche.

The fact that it happened doesn't suprise me. Any company can employ an idiot (the joyrider). What disappoints me is the way the dealer handled it. They have insurance for a reason. There is no way any business is going to handle such an accident themselves. They turn it over to an insurance company. (Ask me how I know; I'm an attorney that deals with such cases for insurance companies). Since they should have known it would be handled by their insurance from the start, they should have been gracious and polite, and even assisted the m3 owner in getting a full recovery from the insurer. In the end, the dealer showed that they were dishonest and didn't prioritize the customer. I'd never go there.

Probably braggin' to his friends about what a great driver he is behind the wheel of a new M3 (and deliberately leaving out the "...and I totaled it" part). At the very least the dealer should fire his ass. I would be stunned if he is still on the payroll.

That whole ordeal the M3 owner went through just sucks. Yet another reason why I hate the dealer (aka stealer) to begin with.

I read that earlier today on DTM. If I was the owner of that M3, I would have found the guy that did it and made the rest of his VERY SHORT life the most agonizing experience he had ever known. Death would be a luxury compared to what I would do to him.

Later in the story in posts under it he says the guy was fired immediately. Thank goodness.
