Only on days that end in "Y". Where else am I supposed to put large objects that will not potentially fit in the cabin and/or I do not want my fellow drivers to peer in a see?

        The trunk.

          shake, rattle

Yes. Cowl shake. Noticed it a bit more after removing the weight several years ago. The cowl shake is a harmonic deal, sometimes at a steady 45/50 mph. NBD. My junk-yard book-bag lives there now.

Since all convertibles suffer some some degree of cowl shake, a likely use would be absorb some of those vibes.

I dropped it on my foot last year. It's heavy.

Do what I did, take the weight out and relocate the battery there. The euro-spec E30 M3 'verts came that way. You can find the correct factory cable on RealOEM.com or go find some in bulk for way f'n cheaper.
              I do what I want

or just use the cable from the coupe or sedans and there you go

Perhaps BMW hired some ex-porsche engineers to develop the verts. Thats my guess.

Joe Funk was using one for a doorstop at Autobahn Sport.

Damn, never knew that. Mine is coming out this spring, if I can remember to do it. Any pics? My vert is my moms garage right now so I can't go look at it.

How the hell could I have missed this. This is my second vert! I feel ashamed. Does it really weigh 70 lbs?
