No not at certain speeds, anything over 20, or any bump in the road! Veers weren't meant to go fast

My first car ('87 325ic in 2002) had this in the trunk. The mount where this thing attached to the vehicle had given out and caused the weight to come loose. Every turn, bump, and shift this thing would move around causing annoying little noises. I finally figured out that it wasn't my rear shock mounts and it took me sitting in the trunk while a family member drove the car around to find it.

I ended up removing it at the time, because I didn't have access to a welder to re-attach the mount and because I was 16, by removing it, my car would be quicker (lol).

I've only seen one of those once. It's on rubber mounts right? That makes me think they were trying to get rid of some harmonic vibration or something.
