$4k for complete S50 from Euro Depot?

I'm assuming thats minus the intake and ECU and stuff... seems like to good of a deal.. that and $1100 for an M50, almost makes me consider ditching the turbo m20 idea.

Dont forget freight. Count on that being $600 for an engine, and $50-100 for the tranny.

4k for a s50 isnt a great deal, ive seen alot better that included the tranny, harness, intake, ecu, everything.

wow.. I fiugred an S50 swap to be around $6k for all the parts. I guess the advantage of getting one from euro depot is that its a very reliable source, but then again so is seeing the car the engine came out of with your own eyes.

I think I may do some reconsideration as to the future of my car heh, M20 is an awesome engine, just dosn't have enough cams :P

Buying S50's can be tricky. Had a guy offer me the S50 out of his thrashed 95 M3 which he was parting out for $3200 w/wiring/dme/acc. When I saw the engine, it was missing the valve cover and had a junkyard marked "E36 325i" written on the alternator so naturally I was suspicious and decided it was too risky and wasn't worth the trouble. Plus the guy seemed kinda shady and too eager to sell me the engine. Then recently someone posted on Roadfly that they had bought an S50 from a shop out of state online and was shipped an M50.
"I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I just missed on s52 in Fl with less than 60k miles that was sold for less than $2500 :(
For 4k you should be able to get the engine/ecu/intake and gearbox
