Alright, Whos going to be the first?

To transplant this bad boy into an e30? Awesome that they now sell a fully built crate motor! :)

Because the e30 is the FD RX7 (Motor Slut) of the Euro world. Why not, it would be a unique build, and 600bhp with almost 600ftq all motor would be hawtsome! :)

I'm sure it can be worked out. There was another member who fabbed up IRS from a C4 Corvette for his build, so anything is possible. Now would I consider this a financially best swap? Nah, but it would be cool to say I have a Viper Motor in my e30. :) 8.3L V10 510 cu in of raw power sounds nice. Could you imagine the set up with some form of Force Induction (SC or Turbo)?!

The only other setup that would shit on the Viper idea would be an LS9/LSA swap into an e30. 6.2L, 378 cu in, 638bhp and over 600ftq of pure PHUN! :)

This thread is retarded, why not put a rocket engine in an e30 then.

If you put that engine in an E30, not only will you need a new rear suspension, but a whole new drive-line to handle that and most likely over 300mm wide tires. Good luck.

I've seen that motor in a 240 or 280 Datsun, it looked beastly in there and yeah the suspension was fully re-enforced by HKS or something. Tire/wheel combo was like 9in square.

We were going to put one in a E36, had the Viper lined up (it was crashed with fully built engine and a procharger) was going to get it for 8K, were leaving the shop to go get it and the guy called and said he got a higher offer and sold it. Demension wise it fit in the E36 nicely.

                          Because spacecar.

I would say, as posted above, that the E36 would be the better chassis for this kind of swap.
