    Plasti Spray...

Well I searched and didn't see anything on this but, i just finished polishing my Type As and wanted to know if anyone else has plasti dipped/sprayed their chrome or polished wheels and ran them through the winter. And when you peeled it off did it effect the wheel at all.

Plasti dipped my Kidney Beans as well as the door trim. It holds up ok, but honestly a real paint job is far better. :)

It will have no effect on the finish whatsoever, it dries almost immediately when you spray it on. I think this is a great idea. Do several coats, the stuff is pretty thin, but it should work perfectly.

I've done it on a set of Hoshinos in the past. Worked great.

But now, I just use bottlecaps. Winter tires are cheaper for them anyways.

Sprayed my outside mirrors about 3 months ago....came out pretty good. No chipping whatsoever as of now.

yeah its ok stuff, use MULTIPLE coats, because it does "tear" easily

Agreed, great stuff. If you don't like it, peel it off!

not questioning the quality of plastic dip but not sure Id run a set of wheels I hand polished thru the winter regardless. If salt gets under that shit in any way youre screwed and I bet it will
