Hey everybody, I wanted to formally say hi to everyone. My name's Frank and i'm 18(well in nov. that i'll be,but close enough :D ) I inherited my parents' e30 couple years back. It's a '87 325is 2dr. black on black. It stock, because Im broke as hell. I'm been drifting for bout 2 years(and i still suck :P). I'm actually got interested in the autoX just recently. never tried but liking it. I found this forum by luck, cause I was looking for a how-to Sr20det swap in my e30(still trying to read the pages). I think that's about it. I'll post pics when I get the chance. ;)

Another drifter here..... wow they are like multiplying. Next thing you know someone will be painting his e30 in Initial D car colors..... :P
Since you are broke as hell I would suggest against an sr20 swap. It's not exatcly the easiest thing ever. I've been playing around with the m20's potential for a while with drifting and even a stock m20 has more than enough power for sideways fun.
You already have LSD so that is a huge help. If your first investment is a good shocks/springs combo, then you should be set to have fun sliding.

Thanks everyone for your warm welcomes. Yeah another drifter. I admit it I might not be D1 qualified, but I do have the basics down.I have been lookin into a shocks/springs combo but haven't got a clue for which brand would be best...as for the sr20det swap i was just curious, cause i saw a sweet 4dr e30 on drifting.com with a sr20 swap and wanted to learn more bout it.
also...initial d? never watched it...hahaha

but instead of just adding more power, why not slap on really shitty tires. isnt that the easiest way to break traction and start sliding around?-Frank
