Anyone ever make their own harness bar?

I'd actually like to see what would happen if an e30 landed on it's roof. I'm not sure the roof would collapse honestly, but that is just a guess. Especially if it just rolled on flat ground due to too much grip, as apposed to flying off a cliff or something.
OP, I don't see why you couldn't make a bar like you want, assuming you have the skill/knowledge to do so.Comment

If this were just for autocross usage, I'd say go harness bars or run them to the rear seatbelt anchors. For track usage? Don't bother and just get a CG-lock. Most chapters will pretty much tell you to pound sand if you show up with harnesses and no proper rollover protection. I believe Schroth makes one type that works with stock seats, but not sure if there's an E30 application.Sup d000dz
So I would like to run harness's for my track car but currently don't have the need for a roll bar/cage nor the funds to make it worth doing. I know you can purchase harness bars becuase of how extremely unsafe it is to to run harness down the the seat sliders but I would like to build one up myself. I was thinking about using the stock upper seatbelt mounts from both the front and rear as mounting points like this
So anyone done it or having anything to say?

This answer, and maybe a couple others above it, are all that were needed in this thread. The rest of the little boys who have nothing better to do than rub their e-cocks need to just quiet down when the men are talking. If this were just for autocross usage, I'd say go harness bars or run them to the rear seatbelt anchors.
