    Another One Bites The Dust

After three years of happy time the inevitable had occurred -- my little girl got a boo boo.
I've been thinking about the next step, but it's hard to make a decision.
The front got hit around the left headlight area. The frame is toast, so fixing it is pretty much out of the question.

So I guess parts are up for sale unless someone wants to take the whole car as a parts car.

    Here's the damage:

    And a before pic:

    Here's the FS thread:

I don't have space to part the car, so it's in a friend's garage right now. It can't be there for too long, but I'd like to see as many parts gone as possible before it is sent to the crusher.
So if you need some random parts just let me know, I'd rather give them to you for free than have them destroyed.

You are in Cali no? How the fuck did you get ice? lol

You Ca people would not know what to do with an inch of snow though. I bet the WHOLE state would shut down and MASSIVE panic would happen.

I grew up in Hungary dude, it goes down to -20F in the winter, I've seen snow, believe me. And lived in Indiana for 3 years too, driving in the snow every winter.

I was up in the mountains, and hit a patch of ice that I wasn't expecting. Could've driven slower, but I didn't. Pretty simple.

I bought a 1990 525i a few months back with a broken timing belt. That project was on the back burner until now. My first priority is to fix the 5er so I'll have a daily as I have to commute to work every day. For now I'm driving a friend's 2006 mustang on 20" chromies, I feel like everyone's looking at me all the time, pretty annoying. Also got a speeding ticket on the 3rd day of driving it.
So after my daily is sorted, I want to get another E30 eventually. I might go with a 318is, I always wanted one of those.

Sorry dude...I hadn't seen the second pic and I had already said to myself 'I hope he didn't put the Euro bumpers on yet'. If you get another pre-facelift shoot me a PM, I may be picking up some more bumps in a little bit.

BTW why weren't you driving the Jeep instead????

That's my friend's. I wasn't supposed to drive up to the mountains, I just drove to the meeting point. We had more people than seats though, so I had to take a few people up there myself. I would've borrowed the jeep if I new I was gonna drive.
And the loss of the euro bumper was my first thought right before impact. Sucks big time.
