    Euro clock DIY?

    Is there a comprehensive wiring DIY for converting each type or clock/OBC to a euro clock? I did not find one on this site.

    Two button -> Euro clock

    Six button -> Euro clock

    13 button -> Euro clock

    2 button is just plug and play iirc.

      Use the door harness side connector for the electric side mirrors. Plugs right in. Then it's just finding out which wires go where. I Google'd it when I installed one on my former sedan. Not hard. Just leave a shitload of wire in case you sell the car and want to keep the clock. I didn't so this and had to let the clock go....

        What I did for a friend's is I got out my ETM, an old 6 button harness, and a plug for the door chime. Looked up what supplied switched, constant, negative, and the lights. Soldered it up, cut away the excess/unused wires, and it's done.

        13 button should be the same process.

        2 button should be plug and play.

          For the 6 button OBC: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/show...t=analog+clock

          So what you need to do is grab the mf clock harness and cut these wires:
          red/white-power
          brown-ground
          gray/red-illumination power
          brown/white-illumination ground

          Worked perfectly for my 6 button to euro clock install.

          I would assume the 13 button is similar. Check the Bentley for wiring diagrams and go from there.

            Why don't people like the OBC?
            I think its awesome with the stopwatch, date, temp, ignition code etc.

              Euro clock, it's in the name.

              My OBC went nuts, so I ditched it 'cause I like Euro shizzz.

                I think this is true for a good percentage of folks with them.

                    i dont understand how wiring in a clock (which just needs + and - wires) would need a diy.

                      It's BMW. It always needs DIY.

                          Kershaw, the clock also happens to light up and can be dimmed using the dimmer knob ;)

                          My transition was 6-Button OBC --> Euro Clock --> 316i HVAC panel.

                            So just trial and error then? My clock has 4 pins so its not as simple as + and - or it would be in already.

                              That pins would be + and - for the clock (from the battery) and + and - for the lights (from dash lights) so should not be soo hard.
