Thank you all for the input.

Regarding the cut springs it was one coil and it helped even out the ride. Those critics of cut springs need to understand that cutting of springs has been around since the 70's, it received it's bad reputation during modern times with those that hacked the springs in half.

The car will be getting eibach pro-kit springs within the next month.

I too have been watching the market and see some cars from $2500 up to $6000. The car will be getting the fender corrected(minor dings, pdr will fix). It will also be sold with freshly refinished powdercoated bbs ra's with new dunlop dz 205/50-15 tires.

Keep an eye out in spring or sooner for the ad! Will be starting it high and hoping for the best!

Dont let anyone take that away for anything less then 3k. The E30 market has gone up. To the point where the E30 is worth more then the E36. Low miles too.

You may be correct, but "to anyone here" is the key. I'm not sure R3V is the right place to determine the true market value on a mint, rust-free one-owner 40K mile one-owner slicktop 318is with all documented dealer service. I don't think $8K+ is unreasonable for that kind of time-machine setup. I would personally much rather have a mint 40K 318is slicktop than a ragged-out 200K M3 for similar money, and ownership cost would be a fraction of the ///M.

OP: If I were you, I'd detail your sedan, take a bunch of near-professional photos, and keep re-listing it on eBay with a $4K reserve. Do that for a few months, and you will get a very good feel for what the true market value is.

            Good luck with your sale!
