    Looking for a VW Beetle

I want to get a 1967 to 1969 bettle. Drop it and redo most everything on it.

I have read about a 2.2 L stroker for the 69. I don't know much other than that 69 was the last year for carbs and the flat windshield and some other minor things...

Can anyone point me to a similar forum or info site that is for the Beetle?

Call this guy. His name is Joey Little and he specializes in european cars espeically VWs. I know he's got a TON of old bugs in his yard. As a matter a fact, the last time I met up with him to trade parts in Knoxville he had a 67-69 bug on his trailer. He's located in Clarkrange, TN but if the deal is good enough he will offer to deliver in person depending on how far the drive. I know he travels out of state to pick up cars and drop them off and trade all the time.

i dunno man, everyone i know that has one puts all this money into it, says it still sucks to drive, and sells it. lol

there is one in the garage i'm renting, probably the years you are looking for. I could look into it if you want, but they can probably be found closer to you, no?

As long as it is 1969 or older. Lemme know. I could go for a road trip again. Just got back from racing in Texas.

My primary vehicle is about to be two wheels, this will be a fun car. I will also have a e300 and a 525ia to drive...

I have an '66 Bug that I was in the process of restoring but I never finished. Its actually a really special year because it has the headlights that are in the glass cases. It also has a sunroof which is kinda rare. I'm not sure if I can get rid of it but I'll check into it if you're interested.

What does the windshield look like? I want the flat style... I dunno, maybe the bubble can me replaced with a flat one...

ColdAccord: A friend owns the Honda, Suzuki, etc. shop in town. She has like ten bikes of her own. I am getting a steal on one of these: Suzuki SV650S

MidAmericanMotorworks, the catalogs they send me everymonth for vw/porsche are the size of repair manuals.

Thay are the old flat windowed ones not super beetles with the curved windshields.

Pretty much they look like this:

Hey, there is this old VW dealer close by where I live. They have a lot of cars to choose from Buses, things, beetles, karma ghia or whatever it is. all look restored too!!!

Saw a clean corrado pull up the other day into that dealer.

sv650s is a niice bike, handles beautifully from what I've heard.

gixxer suspension and forks on there, and you'd be on rails.

72 was the last year for carbs. After that they have 'Fuel Injection' instead of 'Volkswagen' on the rear decklid.
