does this piece look familiar to anyone?

it's in a box of parts that came with the car. All cleaned up and powdercoated, but I have all the heat sheilds and underbody pieces off right now and don't see anything that looks like it. Only other thing I can think of is that it goes under the dash someplace, but all my under-dash panels are missing so not sure.

Or is it just some part from some other car that ended up in my big box of stuff....?

      lol, wonder if it's from the p/o's M-Roadster :D

well, it will do nicely for some underbody rallycross protection for my fuel lines, I think!

That's not an e30 part - pretty sure about that.

Doesn't look like an e30 piece. The only thing it may be is a heat shield above the muffler.

good, now I know that I'm not missing anything important, lol.

time to figure out something else to use it for. Just because.

I think this is it... heat shield above the exhaust, the one that is just before the rear subframe? I remember mine having 4 holes and that rough shape, but it's been quite a while.
