Newest Addition to My Garage...

Went on a shopping spree on the matco website. With school i got 52% off hand tools and huge discounts on boxes and other tools. There is a stainless top for the toolbox coming on monday and a 2 drawer service cart that matches the box as well. The list price total of everything I got was $13,874 and i spent just a touch under $6,000. Im excited to have all these tools.. its not 100% full. but by next year it will be. its damn close now.

Yeah.... I wanted to know what school you go to that affords you that kind of discount? I'm in the Army and work on 33ton tanks.... I don't even have that many tools AND snap-on won't give me a discount. I pay full price.

I went to a restaraunt lwhen I was home from Iraq on R&R and in front of me was 2 cops. The kid at the register gave them 50% off. So here I am thinking.... shit... if cops get a discount I'd imagine I would too.... So I presented the question and showed my military ID. He said.... sorry sir, you pay full price. Not saying I deserve a discount or anything because of me bein in the army and all.... but if cops could get it, why can't I? Shit.... even with combat pay cops still make more than me. *sigh* the sacrifices we make. *LOL*

Because the dipshit kid behind the counter knows the COPS will be the ones pulling him over for smoking the reefer - you just protect his freedom, what the hell should he be giving you a discount for?

I just smiled at him gave him a nod and handed over my 20 bux. Usually when I get a discount at a restaraunt it goes into the waiter/waitresses pocket. Oh well..... fuck em.

I would love to add Matco to my list of discounts available for military people ;) But so far I can't...... :((

Nope, at the house in our 1-car garage. I'm ordering practically the same exact set up this week, too. Brew should have a large tool box and even more tools for himself coming soon too. By 2006, our little garage will have well over $50K worth of tools in it. We're still just students.

One of us will post more pics of the garage some time. I think there's 6 full sets of E30 wheels. And once I'm finally finished moving everything in, there will be basically an entire E30, minus chassis, stored in the garage. There's already 4 entire back seats, most of the parts for the M50B29 that Brew is building, and a few hundred empty beer bottles.
