How to mount harness to roll bar

So I ended up with a harness that comes to a V behind the seat and then has a single bolt end like this but just one.

I cant find any pictures of how these are mounted. Am I gonna have to weld on a tab off the roll bar or could I drill through the bar and bolt it through there. Just wondering, cant find any info or pictures.

    Thanks guys.

usually harness bars attach to the factory seatbelt points on the b pillar.

I would put it on the roll bar if you have that option. I'm not sure what the best method of attaching it would be, however.

first few photos will show you how it's done. in the end you're basically replacing the D shaped harness bolt mount piece with the roll bar around the harness.

http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/userc...ntFriendly.pdf also has info about the proper way to loop your harnesses.

Take the bolt end off and just wrap it. Who lets you use a Y-harness??

Yeah Y-harnesses are illegal pretty much everywhere.

Wrap around is best unless the chassis can accept otherwise... correctly that is.

Yeah I didnt really need a spec harness as I didnt believe I needed one for hpde and autox so I just ordered a used camlock one off ebay and assumed it was the loop around the cage kind.

                      Make your own bracket

Drill a hole through some flat steel and weld it on.

Agreed, that or wrap the fabric around the bar and secure it that way.

                            Thanks dudes.

Just wasn't something I felt like guessing on. Now that I look into it these types of harness are still commonplace in racing.

                              One more idea.

Notch into the tubing, then drill a whole through the tubing and insert the the harness end into the pipe and then run a bolt through it.

Just trying to avoid welding as the bar is bolted into the car and I dont wanna set my car on fire welding with it in haha. My good welder is also 220v and located in my basement haha.
