the "why our e30's are awesome" thread

lets praise the e30, everything from factory options to mods that we do to why you just love these cars.

love the brake ducts, the check panel, how easy it is to do brakes, that it was engineered to last and HAS LASTED!

why do you think e30's are awesome?

      • Just old enough to have the best of the older bmw attributes - the last of the classic bmws(3 series atleast)
      • Lightweight and close to 50/50 weight distribution
      • Can be made to handle very well with the abundance of aftermarket parts for it
      • Can be made to be very fast accelerating in a variety of ways from forced induction to engine swaps with lots of information on doing so
      • Classic bmw looks and styling
      • Hood opens the cool way:)
      • Just enough amenities and only the things I care about - no extra electronic nannies to break and distract from the driving experience
      • Popular platform for so many different things from drifting to racing to even 4x4 status offroading
      • And last but not least - the community

Cheap enough to pay cash for.
Old and easy enough to work on yourself.
          Good looks.
          Fun.
          Cheap insurance.

          There is plenty more...

Because it is an adult go cart you can drive on the road lol

I've driven a lot of different Bimmers but there is something about the e30 that I can't really explain lol.

I think about this time to time. For me, when I think of the e30 and compare it to other cool cars, the e30 (and other BMW's) remains timeless. That is, it exists in a car culture that is outside the realm of time. The e30 is my favorite car.

cause chicks dig em. seriously, i nailed to g/fs first date in mine. wasnt easy physically, but i got it done.

and cause they are just a blast. ive stripped 3 e30s just to stock pile parts to keep mine going forever. i love it 95% of the time i have it, and i love it 100% of the time i drive it.
