What they need to do is rediscover the roots of German design. It is all about form follows function. Powerful looks. Black, silver, gray. Highly precise, well made and very conservative.

My only gripe with the design is that its lazy. Is an F12 stretched 4.5" Their competitors came up with unique designs. There are bigger differences between 3 series coupes and sedans. On the other hand their nomenclature screwed them on this one. There only option would be to call it an 8 series or 9 series. Both of which would have been smaller and cheaper than a 7 series and probably with a range of less powerful engines. And of course the obvious e31. I guess by calling it 6 they figured it should look like a 6, however you wouldn't think they'd reach this logic looking at the 5GT.

i dont see a big difference between this and the 5 series. if bmw released a design much closer to the concept, i bet it'd be flying off the shelves.

yeah well E30s don't have roof pillars 6 feet thick, enough computers and warning buzzers to put man on mars and enough driver aids to make it so the driver really isnt need now does it.

Theres a certain appeal to driving a car that is just a car, not a safety padded, computer driven transportation appliance, that most people just don't understand
