As of Yesterday - yes!! Replaced timing gear, water pump, oil seals, idle fixed, new radiator ( Aussie summertime now and the old radiator was flexing with engine RPM).
Just finished degreasing the engine bay, attacking the alloy wheels with polish/scourer and lamenting the lack of aircon - oh well, I have my DC2R with A/C :)
Good timing for this question. My answer would have been "yes" until yesterday. Turns out my Graf waterpump basically grenaded itself on the hour drive home from work. Had only 13k miles on it too.
Ripped everything apart today to replace it and some other things. When I drained the coolant, it was full of little metal pieces (from waterpump).

The winter beater has been in this state for two weeks now. It was supposed to be a straightforward head rebuild (bad valve seals/guides), but turned into a bigger ordeal when I found out the head was cracked (unrelated to the smoking problem).
My project car is inop because:
A. Bad clutch slave and/or master
B. it's entombed in my basement
