^^^Holy rats nest!!! Looking at that engine bay gives me a headache. Props to you if you can get that monster running right...im sure it will go like stink.
Running, despite running hella rich, and the rear main i just did leaking worse then the exxon valdez. Oh , and somehow the clamp that holds the cv joint boot on , broke and lodged itself into the boot .
Will be put away once the snow comes.too much rust to drive in snow.
Right now my e30 consists of 3 and a half engines in pieces in my engine room, most of a front suspension and half of a rear suspension in my basement....
That being said, everything should be ready for a chassis in a few months!
I can drive it, just not to far. Have a choice. Take apart and re gasket every thing(and new water pump). Or save up for a swap. Leaning more to the swap bit.
well, my "nice" e30 has been sitting on jack stands for 3 months b/c i'm too lazy to work on it. my crappy eta has been going strong for 2 years with zero problems except for a brake line that rusted through.
Last month a rod bearing was spun (210K on the clock). My solution? I recently dragged out & dusted off a spare motor from 8 years in storage with about 100K of use. Afterwards I purchased a lot of OEM replacement parts plus a few upgraded goodies. After the holidays I'll begin with freshening up the replacement mill and get it plugged into the car.
In the meantime my backup car is my aunt's metallic beige 1994 Lexus ES300. Library quiet interior, comfy seats, autotragic gearbox and the most boring exterior in the history of automobiles. Driving this thing really has me longing to get my E30 back on the road. Soon.
