the most you should pay for it is under 5k.
sounds like a great car though.

I read your description and $3500 jumped in my head. I predict that will be the final sale price. :zen:

How recent is the maintenance? I would say 4-4.5k if it is as clean as you say.

I have not actually seen the car but my dad knows the guy who has it and says he keeps everything he owns pristine.

Well if that is the case im sure he would have no problem paying more. Pristine car, plus helping out a friend. Win win.

                      I'm in for pics.

i bought one with 95k on it super nice, all work done at a lambo dealer, for less than $3k. About 6 months ago. I was willing to go higher but he excepted. Check how the top looks mine needs a new one. Id say $3.5-4k if mint.

i know its a different body style and engine, but i purchased my very well cared for 88 cabrio with a minty hard top for 2900. it has pretty alpine 2 paint, nice black leather interior, and a brand spanking new engine with less than 200 miles on it. the working odo showed 101,000. oh, also the folding top was brand new. it is the car in my signature.

it wasn't perfect. i had to replace the struts, brakes, and fix a coolant leak. the seam on the back seat was beginning to come apart. even so, i think it was a steal.

since this car that is the subject of this thread is a 318, that means there is no cruise control and the seats are vinyl. generally, the m42 seems to add value to an e30 over an m20. the lack of cruise and leather will detract value in my book. these can be added to the car however. Also, I think the facelifted 91 and newer body style adds value and desirability.
