    Another cool accident story, bro.

On my way to class in my 740il, driving down a parking isle with no stop sign, yield sign, etc. I had the clear right away, but I came to a stop for some pedestrians crossing the street. Waaam, a local landscape truck flys out of a parking space into the front end of my car. My friend and I get out, talk to the driver and he accepts responsibility, gives me all his information, but wants me to get two quotes and he'll pay me cash avoiding an insurance claim. I called the police nonetheless, and they said they couldn't do anything because it was private property. CSB

I call him today with three estimates, $1,200 from one shop, $1,300 from another, and $600 from another who basically said they can do a bare bones job, pop out the dent, spray a little grey paint, and make it look like it never happened. The owner of this shop is a personal friend and told me the other shops saw dollar signs when they found out a company truck hit me.

So now he's saying it's not his fault, that I saw him backing up and tried to squeeze by him. I was in back of him the entire time stopped waiting for some people to cross the street, and I see him backing up. I LAY on my horn but he didnt hear it, so I tried to throw it in reverse to avoid him hitting my door and front fender, and he hits me anyways. Now he's denying all responsibility and saying we'll let our insurance companies figure out who's fault it was. I'm thinking about just saying fuck insurance and taking him to small claims, he was clearly in the wrong, admitted it and now he's denying it. Cool fucking story

It's like I drive with a target over my head. Nothing but tickets and accidents.

My dad had something similar to this happen to him when he was a kid. Like a stupid kid, my dad believed the guy that he would pay for the damage and didnt want the police involved. Wellllll, he didn't. So my dad found where the guy lived and beat every panel of the guys car in with a baseball bat..

                Just an idea ;)

Same thing happened to me a couple years ago. A dick in a Cayenne clipped me, apologized saying he didn't see me, but when police arrived, it suddenly wasn't his fault anymore. I ended up paying for my car, but since I was turning away from him, he caught my spinning tire. My wheel put a serious raping on his door and skirt.

lesson learned i hope. always get the insurance.

think about it, if they are so persistant in trying to get you not to involve insurance, there is a reason for that.............

that being said, when a hit happens on private property, one driver pays for the other driver and visa versa. unless it was TOTALLY obvious that one driver was at fault. insurance companies suck, but that is the way they do things.

Absolute scum bag. I have plenty of photographs, a passenger as a witness, and all his information including his insurance card. As you said, TRUST NO ONE.

I'm sending him a letter of demand for the highest, most comprehensive repair of $1,259.40. I was going to let my buddy half ass it for half price if he paid cash, but this guy is scum, so I want a proper job done now. I won my previous case with my totaled Zinno last month, so it's on to case #2 it looks like
