    Manual 5er Touring

Did they ever make them for the E34? Ive been looking for a 528 wagon in a manual but nothing has come up.

    I bombed Korea every night.

    E34's only went to 95.
_28 cars came out in 96 when OBD2 and the M52 came out. So there is no E34 528.

Edit: No manual E34 tourings? I know the V8 tourings were auto only here, but I thought the 525iT was available with a 5spd...

No US spec e34 Tourings came with 5 speed. Some have been swapped over.

You can find 525iT's with a manual transmission. They're not exactly rare, but definitely not too common. Make sure it's 91+. You probably won't be happy with a 3500lb M20 powered car.

Need to make a couple of clarifications/corrections here.

        - As DaveCN posted- no US-Spec E34 tourings came with manual tranny.

        - The E34 touring started in '92, and came as 525iT (M50) and 530iT (M60 V8) Only in US. So you don't have to worry too much about getting stuck with an M20 525iT. Other variants were available outside of US though.

If you want an E34 touring with manual tranny, you'll either have to convert one, or buy one that someone else has converted. It's not all that hard- about as difficult as the same swap in an E30. It's ALOT easier to do if you have acess to a manual tranny E34 parts car- so you can make sure to get all the little bits + pieces you will need to do the complete job.

Barry at RRT has a 525 wagon that he swapped a 5spd into years ago. He has an S50 all ready to go in to replace the 200k tired stock motor. That's going to be a bitchin wagon

I've heard of someone doing the same swap but it was to a sedan. S50 + manual gearbox + E34 touring chassis = bitchin'.

You couldnt ask for an easier swap, especially if its a vanos car to begin with...
