    Automotive troubles, with good timing.

So the insurance expired on my E21 today, and while parking the car for the last time (for the an unknown period) the clutch pedal went soft.

A very well timed bed shitting if I say so myself.

Any other r3v'ers had similar luck?

Ha... I probably shouldn't admit this in public but I drove my car with open headers and no brakes (bleed screw was broken) up and down a country road before I buttoned up my swap. Lots of downshifting, didn't even need to use the ebrake. Not too hard, just be smart with your speed.

Incidentally, rev matching with open headers is boss. :p

              Yes! Haha!

I have open Paul Ladue headers on my e28 with a B35 swap. Also has antique tags, so I've thought about dropping insurance on it and driving it to work once in a while.

I don't think my ears would like that too much though....

There's a local guy with a Shelby Cobra that's loud as all hell and he cruises it with ear plugs.

Does overheating on the highway in a traffic jam 1500 miles from home count?
Oh, heh, wait, no. Psh. This is a GOOD timing thread.

Pour water on rad, drive on shoulder whilst onlookers think you're a total douche. ...I didn't have a rad fan for awhile.

I just shut her down and started it only to move it. Been a year since that incident, and all I've done was replace the T-stat. Zero problems since (at all).
The secondary fan was functional, but it didn't cool it down. So all I could think of was T-Stat or radiator clogged.

Sure did. but it took me an hour to get to the next off ramp.
Changed it out. 2 days later drove home.
Strangely, the Advance auto parts had the T-Stat IN STOCK. I was flabbergasted.
