    BINGO!

I sold my Vert when my wife was preggo 11 years ago, bought a touring with the cash. after 3 years of driving the E30 touring my wife wanted a "newer" car (e46/e36) Me in all my e30 glory, found an M tech II kit, put it on the wifes car, and bingo- she even thought the car looked ALOT newer, we were both happy.

The M tech II 325i to me today is as close as you can come to the M3 in looks too.
my daily in the summer- I love the Tech II kit, always have

^Actually doesn't look all that bad on that car. I think it's because you don't have the spoiler on there, and the car is black so there was no contrast to begin with.

It just adds weight and drag.

You dont lose much of the old school look being all black.. And without the mt2 wing it looks alot better

EXACTLY and to me that's the problem here, trying to make the car look like something its not ....modern ;).

however color does make a difference, white and red are just a no go for me however black and dark gray seem to work better in my OP.

                That may be the reason.
But I like the e30 because it doesn't look modern.

IMO,the rear spoiler is the only design flaw on the TechII.

I like the m tech mainly because they arnt common but ive been in thailand the past 2 days and have already seen 6 mtech II e30s and a few other regular e30s i would have never thought i would have seen so many here

I'm not sure about the wing, but I love the rest of the kit.
I spent some time trying to decide if I wanted to install the wing on my car before paint. After a lot of thinking I decided to install it since it's a part of the kit.
In the fitting instructions for the m-tech2 kit, the last step is to increase tire pressure with 0.2 bar. I like that the kit is supposed to do more than only look good.

Damn, back in the day, like the only thing everyone seemed to want was a full TechII kit, and chrome bumpers went virtually unloved. Fastforward to now, and the dick rides all over TechI, and there is a whole thread devoted to hating TechII.

Personally, i think anyone that likes diving boards, tucked or un-tucked needs to have their head read. They look like an e30 successfully mated with a fucking bumper car, during a drunken shag in the back loo of a dodgy pub.

                        Go figure :loco:
Right there with you. I tucked and painted mine before I swapped, and while it helped, they're still ugly as sin. M-Tech I and Euro bumpers are hot as hell, but diving boards are horrible. Just be thankful we don't have E21s.

by modern I meant, it makes a 25y/o car look like a 20 y/o car. kinda like the plastic formed bumpers of an M3. Don't get me wrong, I dig the techI cars (have had a few of em too) just looks more complete to me.

Right, it does modernize the car just enough. It's obviously an E30. It's not like this is some Rieger Infinity widebody kit with testerossa body cladding. To me it's still a very subtle kit with the only major difference being the sideskirts and pods.
