    Sellers remorse?

So....having dreams about a car you sold, and in selling, made a dumb mistake and want it back.

    Anyone?

Seriously considering contacting the guy who bought it and telling him I want to buy it back.

Traded my 91 325 sedan for a 89 325 'vert, even trade, $2500. I sold the 'vert, and want my sedan back.

    Pics of said cars:

Anyone ever contacted the person they sold a car to to track it down and buy it back?

Traded my 91 318is for an '03 525iT... no regrets. I'll be 29 in a month and needed an adult daily driver. It's not as fun as my M42 car (not by a long shot), but it's a nice cruiser. Just had to replace a 275/35 tire :-/.

I regretted selling mine for a little over 4 years... UNTIL I BOUGHT IT BACK!

Sold the car in September 2006 to a member in PA. In 2009 sometime he sold it to his friend and mechanic. In late 2010 a friend of mine spotted a poorly written FS ad here on R3V advertising the car for sale. Luckily he wasn't trying to hard to sell it which gave me time to put the funds together and bring it back home to CA. Despite the unexpected engine issues, I can not even begin to explain how amazing it feels to be behind the wheel of THAT car again. It's a part of me.

        Pics from the FS ad:

        And most current pics:

The current pics aren't really current though since the CF hood wasn't on yet,

I usually make it part of the selling agreement to have the 1st chance to buy the car back if they decide to sell it. Unfortunately I didn't bring it up until after the fact on my recent transaction, however the buyer said he would.

I only get seller's remorse for the desireable e30 parts that I sell. I really, really want that mint black houndstooth interior back, the early "is" air dam fogs, 323i valve cover...

I'm going to find the bill of sale, etc and get his #. He wanted to sell his 'vert, but upon hearing I had a sedan, he offered to trade. I was dumb. It was Summer. FML.

I have many dreams still of 0-60 pulls in my late terminator swapped 1998 svt cobra. That car was my baby. White with mint black leather interior, Y2k chrome rims, eibach sports, flowmaster 40's, tremec 6 spd. Bought it ith 33k original miles and sold it with 42k just over the summer. Sold it to get a more road trip worthy car to come out to arizona.

The 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. That thing was awesome. Amazing in the snow, could tow anything, and looked like nothing else on the road.

I regretted selling my S13 240. It was amazingly clean and I was the second owner of it. The original owner was my stepmother, who bought it off the showroom floor at Lakeland Nissan in 1991 as a 1992 model year. I loved that car with a passion and I still regret it to this day. If I could track the seller down, I would get her back in a heartbeat, no matter the condition.

I have always been a fan of E30's, even in my 240 days. When I finally got the chance to own one, I didn't pass it up and bought it at a good price. and when I first drove my E30 and really drove it, it brought back similar feelings that I had with my 240. If you are given the chance to get it back, I really suggest you do it.

I'll probably track down the current owner in about 5 years and get it back. God I loved that car.:( It sounded so fucking amazing sitting at 5k driving through Cincinnati with the exhaust echoing through the city. There's nothing like the sound of a DOHC v8.
