My friend had an alpine 4 door he sold to a guy. The new owner owned it for a year and spent over 10k on 5 lug, alpina seats and wheels, full suspension, built M20, megasquirt etc. He was given the opportunity to buy it back a year later fully built for only a couple g's more than he sold it for. Definitely a success story.

Second year of college I transferred to another school to commute, I sold my Miata. I seriously still dream about it to this day. So rev happy. It was a '90, bright red, Absolutely factory everything, unmolested model that had been garaged since birth, never to experience our Ohio winters.

I sold it because I was going to be commuting and refused to put it through winter weather. I made 600 on the deal but it wasn't worth it.

My 05 gsxr 600. Bought it in 05 for $4500. Put 30k miles on it and sold it for $4500 in 06. I see them going for $5k 6 years later.
