Originality is GONE. while the mods can be reversed, it does diminish the value in the eyes of the purist who cannot EVER get the original seats back. Chances are the car is also a respray, thereby also diminishing the value. 21-25K is where this one should be posted, and will most likely sell at.

yet the car will sell still, car dealer ships dont give a shit about purist, its all about money, if they got it from a auction they only paid 10-15k for that car, trade in prob 17k, seriously they dont give a shit about what anyone here says they just want it sold

          truth ^

Solution: Don't buy from a dealer... you'll pay 20-30% more than you need to.

i work at a independent shop, we do europeans car mainly BMW/MBZ

so we get alot of used cars from dealers in for check out, never will i buy a used car from a dealer, ive seen their cost on cars its insane how cheap they get them and how little money they will put into them to sell them

I'm a purist and in the M3 world certain mods are perfectly fine and even add value. 2.5 stroker kit? adds value. For example, Evo 3 spoilers or any other evo part for that matter. Desirable parts like startec tails, wheels, suspension...add value to most people and are easily reversible. Now, only pure collectors or those with big bucks want 100% time capsule cars or close to it which are few and far between since most M3's have been modded to some degree by the owners. It's very hard not to mod these cars, almost a shame. I'd rather have a nicely modded M3 than a bone stock one unless it's a time capsule bubble car with less than 40K miles or something. Why spend almost 30K for stock car that will need a ton of work? For display purposes? Otherwise it doesn't make sense if you actually want to drive the thing.
