Such an awesome race! I highly recommend going to anyone who is curious, there was so much to in austin and at the track both before and after F1 events. Plus it was nice to surrounded by a bunch of other F1 fans. I almost got pit passes on saturday, and am going to try and get them next year.

Thats a decent lineup. Brundle is worth the bbc feed alone, but hobbs is pretty good. Coulthard and varsha are on the same level in my mind....

Maybee NBC can splurge and actually fly their announcers to the races, wouldnt that be great.

I wish networks could provide their own feeds as F1 is lacking other sports in their camera angles etc. More wide angle shots to show the true speed of the cars, and a massive wire system with the floating camera would be awesome.... Silverstone is prob the best broadcast race for that reason.

I'm pumped on this for two reasons. The first being, I don't have to pay for the ENTIRE sports package with my cable just for Speed anymore (I don't watch any other sports), and second, Bob Varsha annoys the hell out of me.

In every practice session and during quali I would watch the onboard shots and wonder why Red Bull would bump against the limiter in 7th gear @ 308kph for 1/3 of the back straight. Meanwhile, other teams were running in the high 3teens. Did they not see a benefit in swapping 7th ratios?

Was seb using his kers after weber went out. I never saw his battery discharging on the on boards. Wonder if rbr told him to not use it as a precaution.

Gotta think LH is going to rue signing with Merc... they look worse every race it seems. He has had the car under him to win 3 champs 07, 08 and 12. He is fast but I have to think he should be at least a two time champ by now.
I had the entire Red Bull team radio playing in my ear during the race and he was using KERS whenever he could

In fact as Lewis was catching him they sent him a transmission to utilize both DRS and KERS at the same time to attempt to defend. Sadly the McLaren simply had more straightline speed.

    Dislike!

On that note Lewis ran a very solid race, Vettel / Red Bull clearly did not have the speed they needed. The McLaren ran MUCH better on the harder compound tires. That + the additional 10kmh on the straightaways made it very difficult for Vettel to have a chance.

That being said congrats to Lewis on the win, and to Red Bull for the 3rd constructors championship in a row.

Brazil will be a fantastic race, with two 2 time world champions going up to the final race of the season to take the title. I'm excited.

Oh and COTA is awesome, the track is really amazing and I look forward to GrandAM, MotoGP, and V8 Supercars utilizing it over 2013. If anyone on here has not been to a Formula 1 race I HIGHLY recommend getting to one. The noise these things make is amazing, especially as you can feel it vibrate the beer can you are holding as they fly by.

Same here, I'm really glad that it's going to come down to the wire, Vettel winning the championship today would have taken all the excitement out of Brazil.

What a race! I have to say, I am honestly very proud of Hamiltion, he fought like mad to catch Seb, struck at just the right time, and ran the table for the rest of the race. Glad that Alonso made it to 3rd as well, Brazil is going to be a NAILBITER.

My family and I will be trackside in Austin next year, would love to see if more R3V members can make it, it would be killer to get everyone together and post up on a hill with General Admission tickets, get a R3V banner and get on TV!

Man, CoTA looks like an awesome track for super fast cars. I have a feeling that at least the second sector would be excruciating for slower cars though. Awesome race, definitely looking forward to future USGPs now.
