    M5 bumper on non-M?

The front bumper cover and lower grill on my '98 528i is pretty messed up and I need to replace it. would you consider an M5 front end a cosmetic upgrade or ricer/poseur-ish? I don't have //M badges or anything like that. The car is completely stock otherwise.

I don't think it would be ricer. Just lower the car a bit, install 17" wheels of some sort and make the look "match", and as long as there are no ///M badges, no poseur!

Consider the M540i front end (essentially an E39 M5 front end with a horizontal slat to make it look a little less aggresive.)

Moved to general....the 5 series section is for E28/E34...not E39.

It would look BAD w/o a matching REAR bumper and skirts imho and wheels/suspension.

Depends if you have sports package or not. If it's black with sports package like mine is then the M5 bumper will blend right in, otherwise, you will have to change trims and get the rear as well. The rep bumpers aren't bad at all either. Do it...do it immediately. The stock front bumper doesn't do the car justice.

^^ Love those wheels. I think if your going to replace your messed up bumper with an M5 one it wouldnt be ricer at all, I just hate to see people go out and buy one when there stock one is in perfect condition.
My dad has an E39 M5 and damn that thing hauls ass.

M5 rep bumpers in SoCal are like $200 front and $180 rear. Cheaper if bought together. At that price, you'd be crazy not to upgrade. I sold my stock bumper cover for $80.
