Funny how that happens huh? We are the same here, but we are also 2 1/2 hrs to your west. We get maybe one day a year of snow ad the city shuts down. SNOW DAY BABY!!!!!

If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Luckily, my E30 is in the garage this winter while I'm in Afghanistan....be back in June. Prior to next winter, I plan to get it up on a lift and use some rubber spray compound on some parts that might be exposed

How is the weather up there? I got my e30 stuck in my driveway during finals at the end of last semester. Now I'm in Tucson trying to fix a POS XJ before I have to bring my beater back up to Flag. Open Diff FTL

I have an extra E30 just for winter duties, changing the tires is too much work, so I just change cars.

I have a 325ix with blizzaks for heavy snow. I did just get a set of spare wheels and snow tires for the M3. I will drive the M3 in light snow... But I will also be washing the car weekly to help defend against salt buildup.

I ideally wouldn't drive the M3 at all, but I can't justify 3 cars right now! If I was single, the M3 and iX combo would be perfect. But the ol' ball and chain needs a car too I suppose ;)

mark my words-- you will regret that in a few years if you do keep that car. In the rust belt your car is going to be trashed in 10 years. I am proud to say my car hasn't even seen rain except for 2 times since 1992.

                              Winter E30

Mine is a year-round DD. The Blizzaks go on it during the winter months. It won't last forever this way, but I only have one garage slot and the 2002 gets it. Besides, I was tired of driving the '98 Saturn SL-1. I sold it and picked up the red eta. (much more satisfying)

First winter with my eta, so far I'm having too much fun with it to put it up for the winter. And it's also my DD so I really don't have a choice
