I get that US front plates look ugly. But the only thing I can imagine uglier is a front plate mounted on top of a fake euro plate...
i used to sport the dual-plate look, but i recently threw my us plate under my seat and only whip it out if needed.

I don't get the whole euro plate thing..... PERIOD.

You should be proud to display a piece from your local Department of Corrections.

Could you have your state-issued plate in the front windshield, like on the inbetween the dash and glass? We're allowed to do that here (even though I don't. Had my euro plate for a year and never been bothered.)

No. It must be mounted in the factory location. I got 2 tickets in one week for my europlate. I put the US plate on, got them signed off and put the euro plate back. I have my euro plate that matches my actual US plate but they don't care, if its not the factory issue plate, it is illegal.

it depends on how bad of a mood (or how low on his quota) the cop is that day. Most don't care usually. I have had my plate on for almost a year without any problems. Even on my last vehicle, I didn't have a front lic plate and had no problems.
I live in San Jose. San Francisco might be a little different, but the few times I've gone there, I have had no problems.
