I have a special place in my heart for SAABs, I've owned 3 and loved em all(well except for the non-turbo that I can't seem to rid my yard of)

Had an '88 SPG turbo with full AIRFLOW kit, looked and sounded like a pure 1980s beast, loved it.

I wouldn't mind having that AERO X concept in my garage, how bout some financing? :roll: hahahahahaha

It really is a sad sight to see, SAAB just had something about them that made those cars so magical

I find this heartbreaking. Anyone who owned a classic 900, regardless of condition, will tell you they loved the car. My wife is a huge Saab fanatic and has been looking for a classic vert. It's astonishing how comfortable and utilitarian they used to be.

^^ have you seen the Saab camper? It's a camper shell like they put on the back of pickups, except it goes in the hatchback of 900s. No other car has something like that as far as I know. I'd post a pic but Wiki is blacked out.

In less then 15 days the factory goes down and all the people will be laid off, when this happens factory needed programing will not be available. Dealer told me this a week ago.

Yup. All orders are suspended. Unless the dealer has it in stock, you cannot get it now. Even stuff they show in the warehouse is unobtainable.

It was also made for , or works with small mods, to other aero body cars they sold in europe that werent saabs.


If you were short you could make one to work with a regular hatchback.

I lol'd, a lot at that. Looks like a terrible, terrible aerodynamics disaster waiting to happen, and that's just the car...

Only thing I like about SAAB is the moon roofs from 9000 series fit e28s.
