They do. It was a factory illusion designed to make the car look the same color when driving down the autobahn. Speed distorts color and the doors would always be a shade off when going 100+ mph.

No - but the plastic for the door molding is different between the front/back parts and the center part - they have a different sheen - Dives me bananas....

It'll drive you crazy too now that I mentioned it....

Sure - Mine and 99% of all e30 - so what ever - well the center oxidizes at a different rate then the end ones then - or something is up. But my point is they are different.

comprende. I'm just saying, it can be easily fixed/prevented. if they're already oxidized, try polishing them with 3M rubbing compound (your rag will turn black), and then using cleaner wax on them religiously.

wouldn't you like to know :p

George, someone has probably replaced one or two of those pieces on your car before you owned it and they're different ages. I'd paint them all with SEM trim black or replace them all with new pieces.

By the way, I'm happy that Nelly posted here. This thread has me stompin' in ma err force ones.

Nope - That's not my car - one I found in 30 seconds in the member's rides section to prove my point - I guess you've never noticed it. Keep an eye out for it - you'll notice it on most cars if the lighting is right - so you won't always see it. And I've only noticed it on two doors.

Do I really have to find more pics?
